Ohio Treasurer Robert Sprague’s office has teamed up with Ohio Auditor Keith Faber’s office to develop a unique and specialized CPIM curriculum tailored to the role of government fiscal officers in economic development planning and preparedness. Kicking-off with an in-person, one-day conference this fall, the new coursework aims to expand the specialized knowledge and expertise government fiscal officers need to help their communities meet the challenges and seize the opportunities that lie ahead.
We invite you to join us for this fresh and focused take on CPIM as we bring together a mix of industry experts from across the Buckeye State to share their wisdom and first-hand experiences in managing local economic growth. Presenters will be sharing a detailed look at how fiscal officers can make a positive and meaningful impact on economic development projects, especially during the early planning phases. Additionally, you will learn about commonly used economic development tools, how various development structures and incentives affect revenue streams, as well as the issue of financing infrastructure projects.
Register today – this upcoming CPIM conference will be held Thursday, October 26, 2023, at The Fawcett Center, 2400 Olentangy River Road, Columbus, Ohio 43210. More information, including details on courses, can be found in the MyCPIM portal and the Ohio Treasurer’s website as it becomes available.
Expand your network, strengthen your skill set, and walk away with the confidence to shape the futures of both our state and your community. Feel free to reach out to Treasurer Sprague's office with any questions.
