Committees
Committees do the majority of the work of the CTAO and are listed below with their officers and descriptions. We are always looking for additional committee members. If you see a committee you'd like to join, contact Kevin Futryk at kevin@gov-advantage.com, or contact the committee chair.
Executive Committee
The Executive Committee's goal is to implement a strategy and process to advance the agenda of the Association. Comprised of the elected officers along with the immediate past president and Chairman of the Legislative Committee, the Committee has the full power and authority to transact all business of the Association. The Executive Director reports to the Executive Committee.

Legislative Committee
The Legislative Committee is charged with formulating legislative policy for the Association. This committee meets monthly and carefully tracks, evaluates and responds to legislation that involves the Association. The committee works directly with the Executive Director regarding educating legislators on issues important to the Association.

Financial Oversight Committee
The Financial Oversight Committee provides a checks and balance system for all financial transactions.

CAUV Committee
The CAUV Committee gives direction to the membership as to the structure of the state CAUV program and conveys any changes to the program to treasurers.

Conference Committee
The Conference Committee provides direction on the educational agenda and offerings for the association's biannual conferences. The committee pays specific attention to ensuring conference seminars meet the continuing education requirements of the Treasurer of State and Auditor of State.

Nominating Committee
The Nominating Committee is charged with nominating the incoming slate of officers to be elected at the association's annual fall conference. The committee is comprised of the current CTAO president and the presidents of the four regional districts.

OCCO (Ohio Council of County Officials) Committee
The OCCO Committee represents the CTAO at meetings of the Ohio Council of County Officials (OCCO). Committee members regularly exchange information with other county elected official organizations and provide them with information on the goals and direction of the CTAO.

Land Bank Committee
The Land Bank Committee researches and analyzes land bank issues and regulations for the association. The Committee also communicates all new rules regarding the establishment of land banks to the membership.

Manufactured Homes Committee
The Manufactured Homes Committee works with the Ohio Manufactured Homes Association and the legislature to improve the tax collection process for manufactured homes.

AOS & TOS
The AOS & TOS Committee is responsible for vetting issues as needed that come before the association related to the Auditor of State and Treasurer of State offices and leading communication with those offices on behalf of the association.

CTAO Welcome Committee
The CTAO Welcome Committee is responsible for helping to orient new treasurers to the association by sharing information and responding to queries. During conferences, the Committee also assists new members and vendors with logistical questions.
