DUBLIN, OH — The County Treasurers Association of Ohio (CTAO) marked its 100th anniversary and installed new officers during its annual Fall Conference at the Columbus Marriott Northwest on November 13, 2024.
Brad Cromes, Cuyahoga County Treasurer, was sworn in as President of the association during the ceremony. Cromes will lead the organization as it enters its second century of serving Ohio's 88 county treasurers.
"This historic year marks a century of dedication to public service and fiscal responsibility," said Kevin Futryk, CTAO Executive Director. "For 100 years, county treasurers across Ohio have come together through the CTAO to share knowledge, advocate for taxpayers, and uphold the highest standards of public finance. As we celebrate our centennial, we honor both our rich history and the continuing commitment of our members to serving their communities with excellence."
The evening was particularly poignant as the association honored the memory of President Denise Althauser, who passed away during her term. Alex Zumbar, Stark County Treasurer and 2022 President, stepped in to complete Althauser's term, and presided over the installation ceremony.
